“Hey, just thought I’d let you know that I’m praying for you”
Those are some of the most comforting words a person can hear. Whether bracing for an upcoming surgery, feeling lonely after the loss of a loved one, or getting ready for a big test, those words help you feel supported, calm, and cared for. Our goal is to bring those feelings to as many people as we can through this mobile app we’ve been working on called Prayed4.
What it isn’t
Before we talk about what Prayed4 is, I’d like to take some time to talk about what Prayed4 isn’t, because Prayed4 is a little different from other social media apps out there. Prayed4 isn’t about the self. It isn’t about social comparisons. It doesn’t tally your likes/followers. It does not have ads, and never will (this means Prayed4 will never try to eat up as much of your time as possible so you end up viewing more ads). The content you see on Prayed4 should never be degrading, purposefully attention-drawing, or hateful. We have seen these characteristics in many of the social media apps we have previously used, and have since left them in search of something better. We couldn’t find something better, so we created Prayed4.
What it is
Prayed4 is a social platform designed specifically for prayer. Any time you are in need of some prayers or want to let others know that you are praying for them, Prayed4 is the app to use. You can connect with other members of Prayed4 to share prayer with one another, and even join whole groups of people to be informed about each person’s prayer requests. Prayed4’s focus is set on the other. Each time you interact with the app, our goal is to leave you feeling like you impacted somebody else’s life in a positive way, or were lifted up by someone else.
